The Best Workout Routine for Busy People

HIIT Workout Routines

Full Body Workout Routine

If you never tried a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout before, then you are missing out!

I love to do HIIT because it’s a complete full body workout routine that can quickly help you lose weight and achieve your fitness goals. Plus, HIIT workouts are fun and challenging that will keep you motivated to exercise because it’s so darn efficient.

By far the best workout routine for busy people, you essentially can complete an exercise program in a short period of time as seen in the 20 Minute Body created by a celebrity trainer Brett Hoebel.

HIIT workouts are a little bit advanced, BUT you can modify the workouts to suit your fitness level like I do, until you build up your endurance.

Below are my top 5 reasons why I LOVE HIIT workouts over other types of fitness programs.

Top 5 Reasons Why HIIT Is the Best Full Body Workout Routine

#1 Burn More Fat and Calories

If you are looking for a full body workout routine to burn more fat and calories, a HIIT workout routine can help you to do that because of the intense anaerobic workouts with little recovery time.

For instance, say you do high knees for 1 minutes. Once that is completed you quickly move onto the next workout move like burpees, jumping jacks, or knee tucks.

After you finish that move, it’s quickly onto the next like squats, lateral jumps, or mountain climbers.

The workouts are fast and you’ll be working hard. As a result, you will be using your whole body and muscle groups, which means more fat and calories burned.

Plus, as a benefit of exercising, when you complete your workout, your body will continue to burn calories anywhere from 24-48 hours afterwards as part of your reward.

Not bad!

#2 Shorter Workout Times

As mentioned, the workouts are fast and hard with a nice payoff: more fat and calories burned.

However, what I really love about HIIT is the short workout routines, which is perfect for people who are pressed for time. I’m talking no more than 20 minutes.

In today’s society, many people don’t exercise because it takes up too much time and quite frankly, people are very busy.

  • Busy moms juggling a handful of kids
  • Busy, full-time professionals going back to school to earn an advanced degree AND raising kids
  • Busy, full-time college students working 1, 2, or 3 part-time jobs just to pay tuition

Yes…people are busy.

Oh, and hurrying to a crowded gym during rush hour is NOT fun. As the saying goes, “ain’t nobody got time for that.”

Still, you want to lose weight and get in shape, but you simply don’t have the extra time to exercise after spending 8-9 hours at school, work, or running around with the kids all day.

If this is you, then a 20 minute workout may be ideal.

Of course, you can do a HIIT workout for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or even over an hour, but if 20 minutes is all you have, you can still reap the benefits of a great workout that’s effective, super-efficient, and that can easily fit into your busy day.

#3 No Equipment Necessary

What’s nice about this full body workout routine is that it requires little to no equipment to get started. This is perfect for beginners!

Yes, the equipment at the gym are pretty awesome.

However, if you don’t have a gym membership or you don’t have the extra money for a membership right now, you can simply workout at home and do a HIIT routine.

Many other fitness programs require you to have some type of gym equipment like dumbbells, a fitness ball, yoga mat, kettle ball, or a workout bench to name a few.

While these are great to have as part of your home gym, if you are just starting out, you don’t initially need to have fitness equipment to do a HIIT routine, which is not only nice, but convenient.

#4 You Won’t Get Bored

I like the treadmill. The elliptical machine. The stationary bike.

Still…they can get a little dull and boring (yawn).

However, not with a HIIT workout!

There are so many fitness moves that one can put together, that you can literally come up with a multitude of workout routines to constantly challenge your body and muscles.

This is very important because many people trying to lose weight find themselves hitting a plateau with their fitness routine.

If this happens, your body becomes very stubborn at shedding fat and dieters will often quit working out altogether because they are no longer seeing results.

Due to the variety of moves with a HIIT routine and the number of workouts one can create, you will no longer have to fear hitting a plateau if you are trying to burn fat and lose weight.

#5 Can Do it Anywhere

Not only is a HIIT workout perfect to do at home, even in a small studio apartment, but you can even do it outside. The park, the beach, or the outdoor community patio inside your complex are all perfect spots to get in a quick workout.

Even better, because it’s so portable and no equipment is necessary, HIIT workouts can also be done while on vacation or if you travel for work.

How perfect is that?

No need to worry that you will mess up on your diet plan or have to skip exercising for a few days or a few weeks if you’re going to be away. If you don’t have a lot of time, you can simply squeeze in a quick workout to keep you on track with your fitness goals.

Therefore, if you are a busy mom, working professional, or student looking to get in shape, but don’t have the time to fight traffic to get to a gym and spend 1-2 hours working out, a full body workout routine like the 20 Minute Body by Brett Hoebel may be just what you’re looking for.

Featured on The Biggest Loser, The View, Women’s Health, Good Moring America and more,  Brett Hoebel’s HIIT workout plans comes in a digital download or in a set of DVD’s with three different programs to choose from.

I’m telling you, you’re going to love doing HIIT.

I personally feel it’s the perfect full body workout routine because it’s ideal for busy people who don’t have a lot of time to exercise.

Try it and see for yourself!
