No matter what dream or goal you are pursuing, if you are not seeing the kind of results you would like after putting in so much hard work, sometimes you feel like giving up.
Sure, you might be thinking it’s easy for me to write that, but I’m in the same boat as you because sometimes…often times…I feel like giving up too.
However, I push myself to keep going and I want to share with you 5 ways how to stay motivated to achieve your goals, which I use to help stay inspired.

As a content creator on YouTube, it’s no surprise that I watch A LOT of videos. Some of the types of videos I really enjoy watching are motivational videos and let me tell you, there a tons of them on YouTube!
Motivational videos really help give me the encouragement I need to keep going. If you never watched any before, I say definitely check them out.
So, whether you are trying to learn how to pay off your student loans fast so you can become financially free, lose weight and get in the best shape of your life, or trying to grow your small business and make it profitable, there are motivational videos for you that will inspire you to not give up.
I find myself listening to at least one motivational video a day. It really does help to renew my focus.
This is something that I recently heard about and have been putting into practice. It’s journaling, but slightly different.
If you ever written in a journal before, chances are you did a lot of venting during your writings.
While this is something that we all do sometimes to get any anger, resentment, fear, or negativity out of our system, constantly writing this way will only attract more of what we don’t want.
Whether you believe in the Law of Attraction or not, there is some truth to this.
With scripting, the idea is to do the exact opposite.
Therefore, instead of venting in your journal notebook, try writing about your life exactly the way you want it to be as if it has already happened or it’s happening now, and be sure to attach and mention the positive feelings in the having or in the accomplishment of your goals.
So for example, if you want to lose 50 pounds, write in the present tense about how great and energized you feel, the healthy foods you’re eating, and how amazing your new, smaller size clothes fit.
You can choose to do scripting in the mornings and in the evenings after waking up and before retiring to bed, or write whenever you feel the urge.
However, if you want to get laser focused on how to stay motivated to achieve your goals, script twice a day to help put yourself in a positive mindset while maximizing the Law of Attraction.
Another great way how to stay motivated to achieve your goals is to talk to a good friend or loved one whenever you feel like giving up. This friend or loved one should act as your cheerleader and who will often times tell you:
“You’re doing a great job”
“Keep up the good work”
“You’re almost there”
“I know you can do it”
What you don’t want is to share your dreams and goals with people who are going to be negative, bring you down, or tell you that you won’t succeed.
Stay away from people like that as much as possible.
As you embark on your journey to achieve your goals and dreams, it’s important that you only surround yourself around positive people who are going to encourage you. Not people who secretly want to see you fail.
When you feel like giving up, ask yourself, “why did I want to pursue my dream or goal in the first place?”
It must be something you truly want to do or accomplish because otherwise, why would you bother going after it at all?
Maybe you want to create a better life for you and your family, earn more money, improve your health, start a business so you can be your own boss, or enrich your experiences by traveling the world.
No matter what your dream or goal is, if it’s important to you and all you can do is think about accomplishing it, then it’s worth it to keep going until you do.
There are some people who are really good at visualizing. I am not one of those people.
Still, I do it because I know it’s a great way how to stay motivated to achieve your goals that’s very encouraging. However, sometimes it does get hard for me to visualize the end result because I don’t know how I am going to do it or it seems like the goal is far away.
SO FAR AWAY that sometimes I wonder if I ever achieve it at all.
If you feel the same way, one tip I learned from another YouTuber’s video is to visualize accomplishing the next step towards your goal.
For instance, say you want to get your PhD, but as a college student going to school in the evenings part-time, you know the end goal is more than several years away. If visualizing receiving your doctorates seems out of reach to you, you can instead visualize getting a 4.0 each semester, graduating from college, or getting admitted into a PhD program.
Visualizing bite size mental pictures of achieving the next step towards your goal can be a lot easier to do if “seeing” the completed desired outcome looks and feels impossible to you; especially if you don’t have a reference that can help you conceptualize the mental picture or experience of attaining what you want.
