However, from the information you read and hear, it seems like the only way to lose weight successfully is to just exercise.
Well…I’m here to tell you that contrary to popular belief, you CAN lose weight without exercise!
Of course, I am not suggesting for people to not exercise.
You should exercise. There are many awesome health benefits of regular exercise like…and it’s no surprise…shedding unwanted fat and weight management.
Nevertheless, with people being so busy these days, it’s hard to squeeze in extra time for a workout with an already tight schedule.
Therefore, here are 3 easy ways how to lose weight without exercise that I feel anyone can do to effectively to achieve one’s weight loss goals.

If you want to know how to lose weight without exercise, the best way to do it is to eat healthier.
That means eliminating foods that are known to cause excess weight gain like processed food, junk food, sugary beverages, alcohol, trans fats, and large amounts of carbohydrates.
Instead, eat healthier foods like lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, healthy fats like olive oil or avocado oil, and water.
Lots and lots of water, which is GREAT for boosting your metabolism to burn calories!
Don’t think that eating healthier means you have to give up the tasty foods you love to eat, but it does mean being more mindful of what you put in your mouth and how much.
Then again, if you don’t like cooking, you’re short for time trying to figure out what healthy meals to prep, or you don’t want to be bothered with counting calories, a weight loss meal delivery plan may be ideal and convenient for you.
Weight loss meal delivery plans take all the guess work out of what to eat, so you can quickly and easily shed fat. Plus, all meals are nutritionally well-balanced where you don’t have to worry about whether or not you’re consuming the right amount of carbohydrates or fat.
Therefore, whether you cook your own meals or use the assistance of a weight loss meal delivery plan, in order to successfully lose weight without exercise, be sure to eat healthier.
2. Eat Less Carbohydrates
Eating less carbohydrates is worth mentioning since the Keto diet has become extremely popular.
I personally tried the Keto diet and chose to stop because it didn’t quite work out for me and my lifestyle. However, there is scientific backing behind eating less carbohydrates that has proven to help people drop significant amounts of weight.
Consequently, I really like the concept of the Keto diet, but I just don’t practice it full-blown.
So, instead of limiting my carbohydrates to only 20-50 grams per day as suggested on the Keto diet to lose weight, I simply cut back on the amount of major carbs I eat in a day.
For instance, I plan out my meals and if I decide to have rice at dinner, I will not have any major carbohydrates at breakfast or lunch like cereals, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, bread, potatoes, pizza, or pasta.
Also, I greatly reduced my intake of fruit juices and carbonated drinks since they are high in sugar and carbs.
As for the amount of carbohydrates you find in fruit or vegetables, I personally disregard.
Accordingly, if you want to lose weight without exercise, consider limiting the amount of large carbohydrates and sugary beverages you eat and drink per day.
Of course, you can most certainly try the Keto diet. Just be sure to do your research first in case you have other health related issues that may worsen if you try a restrictive diet plan such as Keto.
Otherwise, in addition to eating healthier foods, if you limit your intake of carbohydrates that typically make up a large portion of your meals, you will absolutely start to see results and slim down.
3. Intermittent Fasting
Fasting is pretty straightforward and has been practiced for centuries for religious reasons, as well as for health and lifestyle reasons.
However, although intermittent fasting has become just as popular as the Keto diet, be mindful of the fact that this is not a “diet plan.”
Intermittent fasting is an eating style or eating habit where you eat your meals between a certain amount of hours and then fast for the rest.
Nevertheless, like the Keto diet, many people have lost significant amounts of weight doing intermittent fasting, which makes this method a fantastic way to lose weight without exercise if done consistently over time.
Personally, I think intermittent fasting is great!
I love the disciple behind intermittent fasting as it considerably curbs my mindless snacking at all hours of the day and night.
When I do fast, I like to do it for 16 hours between 6pm-10am where I give myself an 8-hour window from 10am-6pm to eat all my meals.
If you never tried fasting before, it does take some time getting used to. However, once you get the hang of it, it’s a great lifestyle choice to implement to help you lose and/or maintain weight.
