If you have acne then you know breaking out with a pimple or multiple pimples can happen at any time. As a result, the first thing you want do is try to figure out how to get rid of acne fast because seriously, who wants to deal with pimples?
I don’t know about you, but seeing a pimple on my face just makes me want to scream!
I know when I started to get cystic acne I was determined to get rid of it. Today, I’m happy to say I am cystic acne free and I explained how I did it in my ebook “A Skincare Guide to Preventing Cystic Acne.”
Still, after going through THAT horrible ordeal, I don’t want to be bothered with any pimples at all. However, because I have acne prone skin, I know occasionally getting at least one pimple here or there is inevitable.
So, while learning how to alleviate cystic acne, I discovered how to get rid of pimples fast that works like a charm.
It’s really easy to do and all you need is a bottle of Tea Tree Oil!
Using Tea Tree Oil for acne works wonders and it’s one of the main home remedies for pimples I used to treat my cysts.
Tea Tree Oil is an antiseptic and what it does is it dries out the pimple.
Sometimes the white pus inside the pimple will come to a head (meaning you can pop it to squeeze out all that yucky pus) and at other times, the pimple will just shrink and go away.
However, if you have cystic acne BE VERY CAREFUL!
The pus inside a cyst is infectious and if you pop it and the pus gets on another area on your face, YOU WILL develop new cysts in that area.
I should know because it happened to me.
Therefore, when using Tea Tree Oil for acne to treat cystic acne, be careful about you how you handle your face.
To use Tea Tree Oil for acne, all you need to do is grab a cotton swab and dilute one end with either water or a light carrier oil that won’t clog your pores like olive, argan, sesame, or grapeseed. Once you dilute one of the ends, add a few drops of the Tea Tree Oil and dab the swab over the pimple.
The reason why you want to dilute the Tea Tree Oil is because sometimes essential oils can have chemical compounds that can give you a chemical burn if applied directly onto the skin.
Again…I should know because that happened to me too.
Therefore, always be sure to dilute Tea Tree Oil, or any other essential oil for that matter, before you apply it to your face or on your skin.
If you are using Tea Tree Oil for cystic acne, I highly recommend using a new cotton swab to treat each individual cyst. You can get a pack of 100 or more cotton swabs for a buck at the $.99 Cent Only Store, The Dollar Tree, or Dollar General.
Remember, the pus inside cysts are infectious!
Personally, the best way how to get rid of acne fast is to apply the Tea Tree Oil to your pimple(s) several times a day. Doing this works best for me, but again, be prepared for a pimple to come to a head.
Using Tea Tree Oil for acne can help get rid of pimples fast within a couple of days and in some instances overnight, but to be honest, it’s hard to say exactly how “fast” your pimple(s) or cyst(s) will go away.
I know with cystic acne, if left untreated it can take up to 4 weeks to heal.
With that said, if it took more than a couple days for a general pimple to heal or 1-2 weeks for cystic acne to heal, I’d rather deal with than having to wait weeks for my face to clear up. To me, that’s fast because the quicker a pimple can go away, the better.
Other home remedies that help me to speed up the process of healing a pimple fast includes using a light oil as part of my skincare routine and cutting back on dairy diet.
