In the video below, I give a tour of my “home office” & “home bar,” which basically, I use as a 2-in-1 space.
I first used this area in my studio apartment as a sitting room to entertain guests. Unfortunately, I wasn’t doing much entertaining and therefore, wasn’t really utilizing the space.
I wanted to have a home office while incorporating a “home bar” or “home wine bar” look and feel. Inspired by pictures of home bars and cigar rooms from Google and Pinterest, I decided to infuse the look into my home office.
Truth be told, my home bar is really simply a bar cart where I have other home bar items displayed throughout the area (I was really shooting for that “cigar room” look. A bit masculine, but I dig it!).
If you don’t have room for a home bar, you can definitely get the atmosphere of a home bar by incorporating a bar cart or mini bar.
I think having a bar area in your home office is really sophisticated. Even if you don’t drink, if you often have clients or business meetings in your home office, a bar area in your office adds a touch of class and refinement (well…at least in my opinion).
I like to be transparent with my viewers/readers. This post contains affiliate ads. If you click on the images and go on to purchase an item, I will earn a small commission.
Pretty much most of the items in the video are from Home Goods, Ross, Overstock, Amazon, Walmart, and Ikea. Plus, some of the items in my home office I made myself like the DIY Gold Accessories.
No one item in this room cost over $150. Everything that I bought I tried to get at discount stores or at yard sales. The few big items for my home office and home bar that I did buy, like the furniture, I was able to get as a gift or for FREE!
I loved the way my home office and home bar turned out and I hope it inspires someone to decorate their own home office and home bar too.
