I like a green smoothie recipe that’s simple and light.
This recipe is vegan, diary free and gluten free, which is perfect for me because I need to be mindful of my skin because I am prone to acne. Plus, the vanilla protein powder I use is diary free too!
I do like creamy green smoothies that often uses milk or Greek yogurt (for those that don’t have skin issues), avocado, and a banana, but I find myself liking my green smoothies to be a bit thinner to drink.
Meaning, I rather have a green smoothie that tastes like I’m drinking juice rather than taste like I’m drinking a blob of cream.
Then again…that’s just me-lol.
Below is the recipe on how I make this easy green smoothie:
-1 cup of spinach
-1/2 cup of pineapple (you can use frozen)
-1 cup of water
-2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder
-Ice cubes
Blend all the ingredients together in a high speed blender and serve!
I love drinking green smoothies after a workout. However, even if I don’t exercise, I typically will have a smoothie either for breakfast or lunch as a meal replacement.
If you like a creamier green smoothie, you can add and/or substitute the following:
-1 banana
-1/2 avocado
-1 cup of Almond Milk, Oat Milk, or Greek Yogurt (as a substitute for the water)
Enjoy your smoothie!
