If you suffer from chronic acne and want to use more natural products that are not harsh on your skin, using an essentials oil like Tea Tree Oil can really help! In the video at the end of this post, I will show you how you can make your own DIY acne toner using Tea Tree Oil.
Tea Tree Oil is an antiseptic and it’s great to help dry out those blackheads and whiteheads on your skin. Using Tea Tree Oil for acne is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide and best of all, it’s all natural and super inexpensive to make.
The Tea Tree Oil for acne I used in the video is from Aura Cacia and I purchased it from the Vitamin Shoppe. However, you can purchase Tea Tree Oil from your local pharmacy or you can order it online.
1. Plastic travel bottle or spray bottle (or you can use a glass spray bottle)
2. 100% Tea Tree Oil from Aura Cacia (I usually use anywhere from 20-30 drops)
3. Filtered water
1. Water, Witch Hazel, and, Tea Tree Oil
2. Water, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Tea Tree Oil
3. Green Tea, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Tea Tree Oil
Other essential oils below have shown to be just as effective as Tea Tree Oil to help treat your acne. You can add 1 or 2 of these oils to your DIY acne toner, along with using the Tea Tree Oil.
You can customize the number of drops to add to your toner any way you like. There is no right or wrong way of making your own toner (ex. 10 drops Tea Tree Oil, 5 drops Oregano essential oil, 5 drops Eucalyptus essential oil).
