30 “Document, don’t create” Content Creator Ideas

Ideas for a YouTube channel

Thinking about how to become a content creator or influencer, but have no idea what to post or where to start? Well, I have good news!

Ever heard of Gary Vaynerchuk, better known as Gary Vee?

He is an entrepreneur, speaker, Internet personality, and author who has a philosophy that businesses and personal brands should “document, don’t create” their journey.

Basically, tell your story because someone else out there is going through a similar situation.

For instance, if you are trying to lose weight, build your dream house from the ground up, or compete in the Olympics, simply document that journey and share your unique perspective.

When you think about it, this really is the easiest way to get started into the content creation space and become a successful creator because you are simply filming your progress as you attempt to achieve your goal.

That includes the ups and downs, the successes and failures, and all the lessons you will learn along the way. Plus, you can choose how detailed or intimate you want to be on camera.

Trust me, there IS an audience that’s interested in hearing your story using your authentic voice. Therefore, there is:

  1. No need to try to be the most popular
  2. No need to try to go viral
  3. No need to stress about what to post

Just document your journey if you want to figure out how to become a content creator. You can document your journey on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or even Twitter.

You choose the platform!

I highly recommend documenting on YouTube because as your following grows and more people watch your videos, you get paid! To me, that’s an extra bonus.

Not only will you achieve your goal in public where your audience can become virtual accountability partners, but you can make money during the process.

Not bad!

Here are my 30 “Document, don’t create” Content Creator Ideas for you to get started as a content creator.
